Who We Are
Tier 1 Recruiting consultants specialize in working with high school student athletes who desire to attend the nation's elite academic colleges and play athletics on that level.
We are much more than athletic consultants or college admission coaches. We combine both fields to create a unique service that focuses on providing an overview of the college admission and recruiting process an assessment of your academic and athletic profile, assistance in developing a universe of colleges that best suit you and assistance in securing admission to these programs.

William A. Penrod
As wide receiver on the Lehigh University 1977 NCAA National Championship football team, Bill was fortunate to achieve his goal of playing college football while receiving a great education at a prestigious academic institution.
Bill is now dedicated to helping other student athletes meet their goals. He counsels student athletes in using their athletic ability to aid them in gaining
admission to some of the nation’s most elite schools. Bill has helped student-athletes be recruited at a number of top academic institutions. Bill has used these skills to help his sons gain admission to NESCAC and U.A.A. schools, where they were lettermen and named to the All-Conference Academic teams. In addition, he assisted his daughter who will be attending a Patriot League university and running on the track team.
Following his graduation from Lehigh, Bill attended law school. In his 20+ years of practicing law, Bill was an agent for numerous professional athletes in the NFL, CFL, WFL, AFL, and MLB. He also represented several actors in feature and made for television movies. In these positions, Bill has developed relationships with over 100 college coaches, athletic directors, and admissions directors.
Bill earned a B.A. from Lehigh University, where he studied Political Science and Urban Studies. He then earned a J.D. from the Delaware Law School and was a member of the Law Review.
When not coaching student-athletes through the college admissions process, Bill enjoys golf and coaching his children.
Scott A. Penrod
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science from the Lehigh University, where he majored in Industrial Engineering. He played wide receiver for Lehigh and had numerous workouts for CFL teams.
Scott's passion for coaching led him to join his brother in 2013 creating Tier 1 Recruiting. Scott has a strong understanding of top colleges and their admissions systems.
Scott has a diverse employment career including working on government contracts to operating his own golf club company.
Scott enjoys golf, playing competitive platform tennis and coaching his children in swimming and baseball.
